Find a tradesperson for any job
- Building and extending: builders, house extensions and loft conversions.
- Kitchens and bathrooms: kitchen fitters and bathroom fitters.
- Outside the house: roofers and landscapers for patios, driveways and fencing.
- Inside the house: electricians, plasterers, painters and decorators and carpenters and joiners.
Hire with confidence
- Get three written quotes for the same job.
- Check registrations where the law requires them: Gas Safe for gas work, competent person schemes for electrics.
- Look for trade body membership such as the FMB or TrustMark, and check it on their website.
- Agree a written contract and pay in stages, never a large sum upfront.
